Simone Alliva is a professional journalist. He lives in Rome where he writes about politics and civil rights. He is the author of several investigations for L'Espresso, including L'Italia è omofoba (Italy is Homophobic), winner of the Diversity Media Awards 2020.
In 2017, he was the first person in Italy to report on the horrors of the persecution of homosexuals in Chechnya for HuffPost Italia. In 2020 he published Caccia All'Omo. Viaggio nel paese dell'omofobia (Hunting the Homo: A Journey into the Country of Homophobia) for Fandango Libri. Today he collaborates with L'Espresso, Esquire Italia and La Stampa.
